FAQs
Are you an infertility coach?
I am not an infertility coach in the sense that infertility coaches typically also tend to advise on medical protocols, diet and other “physical” aspects of infertility. My therapeutic work specifically addresses the mental and emotional impact of infertility. Anyone having lived through infertility knows that no two medical protocols, supplement regimens, medical interventions and/or diets work the same way on any given individual. However, the depth and breath of the mental and emotional fallout seems to be more universal.
Why don’t you offer a free discovery call?
The best way I can use an hour of your time is by diving into the matter at hand rather than making a bit of conversation and then pitching “packages” (which is the norm on discovery calls). My approach allows you to experience my style of work firsthand so you can decide if it’s for you.
When you book your first session with me there is no obligation or commitment to continue and your entire time with me will remain focused on providing you with valuable support.
What countries can you serve clients from?
I serve clients worldwide in a variety of time zones and facilitate in-person sessions for Dubai clients who prefer this option.
What happens once I book my first session?
Once your session is booked, you will receive a confirmation email with the possibility to reschedule or cancel if needed (please take note of my cancellation policy). If you booked an online session you will receive a zoom link and if you booked an in-person session you will receive the location information.
Do you work with men privately or in groups?
Yes, I work with men both privately and soon enough within my couples work as well as part of my upcoming circles. Statistics show that the physical component of infertility is a 50/50 split between men and women. And regardless of physical contributions, there’s no one on an infertility journey who escapes the mental and emotional impact.
My work with men makes space for them to open up about how they are coping with infertility and/or how they might be struggling to support their partners.
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions needed varies between clients. I can say that the goal of my work is to give you the necessary insights, clarity and confidence to manage life’s challenges without me and I’d say the sooner this happens the better. Some clients prefer regularity with sessions, others opt for one-offs on an as-needed basis and yet others come frequently for a short period of time. It really depends on you as ultimately, you know best what you need.
Do you work with couples?
Yes, I will have openings for couples’ clients later in 2024. I recommend that each partner have at least one private session with me before we begin to work all together. It is up to each partner, though, to let me know when they feel ready to do the couples work.
Do you offer group sessions?
Yes, I will begin offering infertility and non-infertility group sessions in the Fall of this year (2024). These can be very helpful for sharing one’s experiences in an open, understanding environment. Even in group sessions, of course, the individual is always engaged in a self-reflective process. But there is something distinctly powerful about a group versus individual sessions.
What tools and methods do you use in your work?
Compassionate Inquiry® and Positive Psychology are the two main methods I incorporate into my sessions. You can read more about my full approach here.
